WHAT IS INSUCON ?
Insucon is the International Electrical Insulation Conference and is held in Europe at intervals of 3 or 4 years. The first Conference in this series was held in 1970 and was called the BEAMA International Conference. For over 15 years, Insucon has been organised by the Electrical Insulation Association (www.eiauk.org), a trade association in the UK, and attracts engineers, consultants and University researchers from all over the world.
WHAT IS THE CONTENT ?
The most recent Insucon in 2017 was the 13th in the series and, following on from the success of Insucon 2013, it had the same format and spanned the whole range of materials, processes and products used in engineering applications. Although generally directed at medium and high voltage equipment, there is a broad scope to the technical papers which are accepted for publication.
WHEN IS INSUCON ?
The next Insucon to be arranged .
WHERE IS INSUCON ?
The next Conference is expected to be held at Austin Court, the Institution of Engineering and Technology Centre in Birmingham, UK, where Insucon 2017 was held. The UK’s second city has an excellent international airport and rail links to major cities in the country. Views of the tiered Kingston Lecture Theatre and other parts of Austin Court may be seen by clicking here.
